Distance Education AccessThis page is the access to communications facilities and Student Discussion Groups for Distance Education (Flex) students. Course Coordinator: If you find any serious flaws in the online material (such as missing text, missing images or broken links) you should contact the Coordinator immediately. Assessment: It is vitally important to read all about the assessment and the assignments. To find out about assessment you will need to go to the assessment page. Discussion Forum: This forum is available to you throughout the term. Flex Student Discussion Groups: Depending on the number of external students this term there may, or may not be, a separate Discussion Forum. NOTE: These Discussion Groups do not get into full swing until Week 3. A Discussion Group is not a class that runs at a set time. Rather, you will be expected to visit once or twice a week in your own time, take part in online discussion and share the results of the technical exercises. A Discussion Group Moderator will visit your Discussion Group a couple of times a week to review the discussion and check that the discussion is running smoothly. If you have any questions regarding the course, you should address them to the Discussion Group moderator via your group discussion forum. Be aware that the moderator will not drive the discussion. That is up to you. You can also contact your moderator by email and should usually expect a response within 48 hours. Contact details will be made available via the Discussion Forum above. |
