The North Burnett Seismic Network (NBSN) operates under the auspices of the Central Queensland Seismological Research Group (CQSRG) which is an established research group of the Faculty of Informatics and Communication of Central Queensland University.
The goal of CQSRG is to establish seismic monitoring stations in the North Burnett region of Central Queensland in order to detect, quantify and locate earthquakes that occur in the region.

The NBSN currently operates seismic monitoring stations at:
For online download of seismograms of interest recorded by these stations go to the NBSN Seismic Records site.

Seismograms stored at the NBSN Seismic Records site can now be viewed online at, and downloaded from an online view port. This facility has been provided in collaboration with the Earth Systems Science Computational Centre (ESSCC) of the University of Queensland. Dr. Dion Weatherley of ESSCC did the programming, and operates the facility.
The online viewer has a filtering facility. Most seismograms are best viewed with a 0 Hz to 5 Hz bandpass filter applied to them.
